How to prepare your pickup like a pro
Tips and tricks to nail your pickup.

Unsure? We’ll take it. Stick to 3 rules:
✅ 1. Nothing wet:
Items must be dry and reasonably clean. No liquids, containers empty.
✅ 2. Nothing dangerous:
No chemicals, oil, fuel, gas bottles, asbestos, needles, fireworks or ammunition. Batteries, medicine, sealed paint (up to 2L) and empty aerosol cans are fine.
✅ 3. Nothing organic:
No food scraps, garden waste, soil or plants. Sealed packaged food is fine.

Pack your bags
like a pro
Any shopping bag works: about 30L, roughly 40x40x20cm. There is no minimum number of bags.
✅ Keep your soft plastics separate
Keep soft plastics separate to avoid contaminating other items like clothes. Pro tip: pack them into one bag to save space and fit more!
✅ Leave small items on top.
Place small items on top to prevent them from getting lost or missed during sorting, ensuring maximum recycling.

No need to be home on pickup day.
Simply leave your bags at your doorstep or in a safe spot for collection.
When you book, add a pickup note or a photo of where your items are. Businesses: make sure the driver can reach your bin.
Live in a multi unit dwelling?
Place them in a publicly accessible area—adding a note on the bag can help! We’ve made one for you to print!
