How it works
Book
Pick a date in the ReSmart app or on the web. Pay per pickup, or use your council's subsidised pickups where they apply.
Bag it
Used household batteries go in your pickup with your phones, cables and other e-waste. Light bulbs, fluorescent tubes, smoke alarms and printer cartridges can come too.
Leave it out
Put your items at your door on pickup day. Our driver collects them with anything else you’re recycling, and you can see where it all ends up.
What happens to your batteries
Batteries are recycled through Australia’s national battery stewardship scheme. 95% of a battery can be recycled, so the metals inside are used again instead of leaking into landfill.
